Not as much as I use to be.

I used to keep allsorts of junk/crap on the premise that 'it may come in handy one day'

Now I have a clear out every 6 months, and get rid of things that haven't been used.

I'm a terrible hoarder. My spare room is packed to the gunnels with 'stuff', I have loads and loads of clothes in various sizes / styles (some which I've never worn and never will), craft stuff, sewing stuff, books yadda yadda.

I'm off work for 8 weeks shortly and have decided enough is enough - I'm having a life laundry!

Titz Towers, North Notts

My Granddad was a bit of an hoarder. When he passed on, we found everything neatly inventoried, with cardboard boxes (always reinforced with brown tape at the corners) full of lists of household effects purchased since 1983, council rent books dating back to the mid 1950s, string pieces of and so on.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Yes, I am. I've had to downsize accommodation over the last few years and it's causing problems.

I'm gradually sorting things out and clearing out stuff but it's slow, difficult going.

A lot of it is things I've gone through phases of collecting, like comics. They don't have much in the way of resale value but I can't bring myself to throw them away.

I have more high-end make-up than some make-up shops, (my ex's description). I need to sort through it because although the powder products will be fine, some of the lipsticks and lipglosses will have gone off.

I've also got loads of books, CDs and DVDs.

I've got a lovely kidney shaped dressing table (with curtains) but no room for it. It's out in one of the sheds. It didn't sell when I advertised it and my dad is pressuring me to give it away, which is causing some friction.

No I can't abide stuff and bric-a-brac, I don't have many ornaments or sentimental things and if it's not useful it gets thrown

It's nice as it is. It was a Ducal dressing table - which is a good brand - but it was modified or repaired at some point and the top is now plywood. With the curtain part and the glass top in place, it doesn't show.

In fact, with the curtain bit in place you wouldn't see any of the make over.

It's in good condition though. I think it would be a shame to paint it.

When I'm going through a manic phase I buy loads of stuff then when I'm in a depressed phase, I feel too guilty to get rid of it.

I'm not so bad now as I've learnt the signs so my e-baskets get full but I never complete the transaction.

No I'm not and every now and again I have a clear out and get rid of stuff I don't want or doesn't fit as my mum chooses to live in a house that's straight of 'the hoarders' and 'how clean is their house', never want anyone to compare me to her so work hard to keep it uncluttered and messy

It's lovely but I can't realistically fit it in. If I could, I would have.

I'll probably end up giving it away but it'll make me sad.
