Well I can see someone started 13 new threads in less than three hours.....

Stops all the others being read or commented on and makes ALL the threads on the lead page the same dire rubbishy twaddle BUT ....... people DO respond instead of leaving them to die ...... so it's what the public want as Simon would say ....

personally I think it should be stopped. Its becoming a one person show.

No Notts..... It's NOT that simple. Not reading your posts is easy enough for folk I agree.

BUT - all of your posts - because of the rate at which you post them - push everyone elses out of sight. People who want to read posts have to then go looking for them.

Instead of there being a range of titles and names to choose from when we log on ..... there's just YOU and all the titles are the same bar two key words.

Give people a chance and some alternative choices.

It's not too difficult, if you don't like the threads, ignore them. And it's not to difficult to click on 'next' and move to page two of the threads is it?

Why should mods delete threads by a poster just because a few don't like them? Enough people obviously do, otherwise there would be no comments on them.

Leave the guy alone ffs

I am THE most patient person when it comes to the multitude of personalities that you find on a forum, and I would also usually refrain from posting on this kind of thread too, however I have to admit this tosh is really getting on my nerves now.

untill i put my fourm into sections i had same problem people making topics about this that and the other, then i made sections for all types of stuff now people know where and when to post and if they post in wrong place its removed and put in its correct place, very simple thing to do and takes no time at all to do and fix unless your a lazy s.o.b lol

to be fair to the mods though, this is a free site. may take a little time, but it does still take time!

we need to be just as responsible using it and as much as i support notts and even post to his threads, it's possibly not considerate to monopolise so much of the forum...and whilst i'm sitting on the fence, if others don't like it, perhaps post something themselves to fill the forum!

Ive asked for admins advice on what they deem to be spamming,as I think its a valid question

Im of the opinion that as you all know what notts threads are more or less like and you don't like them then don't read them,its not too hard tofind threads that interest you or even to go to the next page to bring others back to the front page

From my side of things as a mod,at the moment if no rules are broken and no-one is getting attacked then the thread should be left

Of course in a situation that occured recently where 14 pages of threads were started lae one night then of course we would step in and put a stop to it

The forum Mods don't have the power to create new forum sections that is down to admin xx

on another site i am on there is a voting system on threads. once you get a specified number of votes to close the thread its gone. no ifs no buts

another option is to limit the number of threads someone can start withing a 24 hour period

not sure how i feel about either suggestion as i am in the ignore and move on camp

At what point are people going to be asked not to post? how many topics do you want them to be allowed ? Do they get a quota a day or per hour?

There are a few posters who start threads a lot, sometimes a few an hour , so it is just one poster who shouldn't be allowed or all of them?

To the poster who thinks the forums should be in sections....they are. this is the lounge where you can talk about anything and everything, and you are right, if they are in the wrong section it is very easy to move.....if of course a mod is online to move them inbetween their every day life.

but he's slowly grown on me cause if I want I can ignore him which anyone can do I can

Thought I had better post again! It was a genuine question, mainly because I didn't know how many were posted last time spamming the forum happened! Obviously a lot more that 10!

I do think some have missed the point though. I do agree that if you don't want to read it move on, but when posts are pushed quickly from the front page because of what I consider peurile drivel, it tends to ruin it for me and I suspect a few others.

If only we could get rid of that very bad Harry Hill impression. (and it is bad because Harry Hill is funny sometimes

)

almost right but not quite, this is the lounge yes but if i was running the site when you click on lounge a number of things would appear

4.music

5.tv/films

thats just 5 of many that would come up and only if you want post something about music then you would click on music and make your new topic as normal same with the rest, the meaning off this is everything is not posted in one big fourm

if people like tv and films then they can post what they want in there aswell as look and c if a more recent topic has been set up about the same thing so stops two the same topics being made in a short period of time, if anyone has used this kind of set up before in a fourm they will know what i mean and it would be an added bounes if they runned it as then they would fullly understand what i mean..

Valid point, but i do think more than one person need to be making some apologise, i all the time iv been reading these forums iv never been more disgusted.

Who says what a valid thread and whats not, who says what worthy of been on the first page of the forums, one mans rubbish is another mans gold.

Get a life people if you dont like it dont read it, if its not on the first bloody page then click the next page button, is it really that hard to click a bloody button!!!!
