Your dream car as a kid

Jump to newest

By *inaTitz OP   TV/TS

Titz Towers, North Notts

When I was a kid, the car that caught my imagination was the Opel Manta. One of my teachers in the not too early 80's was seeing the son of a rally driver called McCrae and he turned up at school in his Opel Manta, which really got us all fired up.

What car did you dream about when you were a kid?

I always wanted a Lamborghini Countach aswel, fell in love with it after watching the Cannonball run films and had posters of Lamborghinis all over my bedroom walls as a kid.

I also loved the Lotus esprit turbo, grew up watching the Roger Moore James Bond films and his Bond car of choice was always an esprit.

Not as a kid as such, but when Mercedes updated the 230ce and 280ce and bought out the W124 series around 1985 I was drooling. They cost more than my house at the time.
