If you have a leaf problem collecting in them they help preventing it.

Titz Towers, North Notts

This afternoon I'll be up a stepladder taking some turf out of my gaffer's gutter. In my carpet slippers, as that's just how I roll on a bonus Tuesday afternoon

Not really leaves that are the problem, its more moss and some other detritis that s sitting in the bottom of the gutter so I ve just been scooping that out. I was hoping the brushes would do this for me, looks like I m back to having sludgy fingers, ,

Get up a ladder with a bucket and a pointing trowel to scoop out the sludge/moss in the gutter does the job well i find. Make sure someone is footing ladder for you though, lol.

Thats how I do it, only small snag my mums gutter ( I m a good son ) has a mesh (suspended in tne middle) so I've had to remove that ( hence sludgy fingers) before scraping clean, .. oh and My mum thinks I m too old to be doing it, !!
