We haven't done it but seen it at a fetish event. The participants seemed to be having a great messy time.

we use to go to a few private clubs that held sploshing partys great fun ,would love to go to more alas very few clubs that have this partys anymore

Indulged once for someone.. thought what's the prob? Cant hurt to get messy. Interesting textures, jelly and custard, beans .... but never, NEVER splosh with chocolate cake. . It just looked scatalogical. Put me right off.
