"Just wondering if anyone who is diabetic (I am type II controlled with tablets) has had a tattoo and had any difficulty with it healing OK or a skin infection. I wanted a foot tattoo and my local tattooists said they wanted a doctors letter first. Went along to the doco and he refused. Said he would not underwrite as it was far too risky etc. Obviously he is not a personal fan of tattoos in general. Would be interested to hear other diabetic people's experiences." Diabetics need to be extremely careful with their feet so its hardly surprising that the DR refused you, any diabetic is usually directed to a chiropodist for even hard skin removal, i would advise against having a tattoo there, look at the Diabetic association website , good luck

Indeed - there is a lot of pseudo knowledge about - and it is definitely wise to look at insulin triggers - PD has done quite a bit of research on this and there is a growing movement on the reduction of carbs in favour of more protein but too long and complex to explain here. xx
