Good afternoon lovely people, Joe here. Any fellow sufferers of gout out there? I've had it now on and off for over ten years, but this time around, it's particularly awful. Foot has swelled by around a 1/4 and the bloody pain is constant. Nothing new there, but it's been 8 days now. Driving Lola nuts!

So, if you are a sufferer, or you know anyone that is, have you got any remedies that work for you? I've tried most things and I take a preventative.

Right now, I could take to it with a rusty feckin saw!

Keep smilin, hey...

Joe x

Drink gallons of hot water

Drink concentrated cherry juice (about £20 in the health food or specialist cycling shops)

Someone who I worked with once swore by curries for his gout.

Drinking can certainly bring it on I will agree.

As it's day 8 coming up day 9 this time, I've given in and made an appt to see the doc tomorrow.

What I can't understand is why people laugh when you say what it is. I'm like 'cheers then', I laughed too mate!

Also the other thing that leaves me speechless is when they say 'that's painful that is' like I didn't know. I can't believe I'm the only one that's experienced it!

Probably because people associate it with folk who like a drink. Almost like, hey, you've been having too much of a good time again bud! I'm sure if they knew the pain the wouldn't. I have known of others who've suffered from it - it sounds very, very painful, so I hope you get some relief soon
