Am off to llangollen in Wales for a few days with my mum today.

Looks beautiful. Has anyone been? Any good dog friendly places people could recommend?

Its beautiful, especially horseshoe falls, love it round there. Can't comment on dog friendly places though, sorry.

I stayed in a hotel on the river by the main bridge years ago and it was lovely. My grandad was Welsh, so we were revisiting the area he grew up. There are some beautiful areas around there.

Brighton - even Hove!

This is where I went once on a geography field trip. I thought it was very hilly. That's it I'm afraid. I don't remember anything else.

There is a nice walk over the fron aqueduct, as long as your ok with nights, or you can chill out by the river, there is a pub to the right of the main bridge, looking from the town, that has a balcony to sit out eat and watch the river go by. There used to be the Dr Who exhibition there, not sure if its still open, Chester is not too far away, have a good time ??

If you feel energetic walk up to Castell Dinas Bran. It's got fantastic views of the whole area.

Or walk along the canal. If you're brave enough go to Pontcysyllte on the canal and walk across the Aquaduct a world heritage site

There's also the steam railway up to Corwen, and you can take the dog too

A good foody pub is the Grain Mill on the river side

You are in a valley situated in the middle of some stunning countryside, there are lots of places to visit from there it all depends on how far you want to travel.

As for dog friendly I am not sure.

Oops, forgot the monastery Valle Crucis just up the road.

And the Sun Inn at Rhewl is an old drovers pub and a lovely walk too

I thought it was bad form to discuss dogging spots in an open forum ?

Enjoy your few days away !
