I think they are and hide it really well. I was taken aback when my x hubby who didn't like cats cried like a baby while holding our year old cat who due to cancer had just been put to sleep.

Poor man would be upset, the cat was only a year old. my hubby and son cried when our dog had to be put down.

I would say it's true,but they hold back on the emotions that they think makes them look weak. Like crying and empathy
