I'm nice to my step dad all the time, I respect him as I expect him to respect me, plus later on in life I could be a step dad who knows. What goes around comes around.

It's only a card. My son never gets me cards for anything,I know he loves me. He's not a card buyer

I suppose it depends what's been before, if the guy has been his step dad since he was a small boy and he has always bought him a card it must be fairly awkward but if their relationship has always been like this it's not really a problem.
