I don't know. Italy played clever slower possession football in stifling conditions. We ran full on. Tactically, we got it wrong, or Roy thought we could last. But that said. In European conditions if we play like that, we do look bloody good.

Given the Costa Rica result, we still have a decent shout at progressing.

A draw might have been the fairer result, but Italy had a lot of chances and hit the woodwork twice. England threatened but couldn't create many clear opportunities.

Not the end of the world. Uruguay and Costa Rica are both beatable which would get us through.

Was a better performance than i expected.. We looked fit n ready for most of the game tired towards the end, Ref played well Stirling had a great 1st half. looked a bit lethargic in 2nd half defence didn't slide across enough when Italy attacked on the flanks all in all tho looks like off we win next two games we wil go thru

"Was a better performance than i expected.. We looked fit n ready for most of the game tired towards the end, Ref played well Stirling had a great 1st half. looked a bit lethargic in 2nd half defence didn't slide across enough when Italy attacked on the flanks all in all tho looks like off we win next two games we wil go thru

So if we win the next two that look winnable I don't get a shag on 28th?

I'll be watching some games today, and looking forward to Portugal vs Germany on monday (should be a good game). Just hope phill neville does not comentate Evveeeerrrr again, he ruined my enjoyment of the England Vs Italy game, (who's idea was it to have him comentate, such a dull, bland and boring voice, lol). I think England will still qualify from this group, Uruguay and Costa rica nothing to be scared of there, think we are more than capable of winning those two games and going through to the knock out stages, keep positive ffs.

Italy was always going to be the toughest game in the group, and i was encouraged by how England played (already a big improvement on the last world cup in south africa). On the bright side we may have Oxlaide Chamberlain back for the Uruguay match on thursday aswel.
