What do you do when.... (Too-much-info alert)

Ok so hubby and I got a new bed yesterday and its too big for our headboard, so currently 2ft down the room, with no space at the end.

I sleep on the far side of the bed, and have to climb over hubby to get in.

What do you do when you're poorly and have to scramble out of bed?

I can't get back into bed cos it takes too long to get back out again if I need to be sick. But I want to sleep

Cuddles and blankets appreciated.

He needs his side, his legs dont work properly, so he can't push himself all the way across the bed without hurting himself

Lol his side is closest to the door xD

Yeah yeah I'll get round to kicking my own arse. Just need to adjust the headboard xD

Suppose its my own fault that I'm now stuck on the sofa all night... Shoulda made more space.

D*unk advice is good enough

I'm confused as to why a headboard would create difficulty getting out of bed? Why does having a headboard that doesn't fit mean you are 2ft down the room?

Put a bucket next to the bed

Use a tape measure before you invest in your next bed.

Can you reorganize the room so there's space down both sides of the bed?

Can they be detached and just do without the headboard?

As to being sick then stick to the sofa for now. Cleaning up just makes you feel worse.

Yeah they detach, I was gonna get round to it today.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm not poorly very often so can never quite remember what to do!
