On tonight after Benefit tenants on channel 4. Can not watch it why put something on that shows the abuse of animals just sick. I love dog rescuer and Paul O'Grady. But any anyone seen as abusing animals should get the full force of the law and how can they call dog fighting a sport x

I think there was a petition going around to try and stop them showing this but it obviously didn't do well.

I rescued a dog who was from a similar background. Poor bugger took years to get him up and running.

I can't abide the violence and exploitation of things that don't have a voice.

I didn't watch it. Just seeing the trailer for it pissed me off, all those silly little boys with scarves over their faces.

I sat agog and watched the guys justify it to themselves, but it went over as soon as I saw them puts the dogs in the pen.

What I couldn't get my head round was why they gave everyone they interviewed a dubbed west indian accent ?

Interesting to see the mindset of these people..

I see loads of em in Cov... Small minded people with big dogs...poor self worth.

However there was a bloke at the end who I totally misjudged.... Looked 'the type' but was totally the opposite...shows summat about books n covers....lesson learnt

The film makers were basically trying to be neutral I think.... Lots of shots of abattoirs plus 'toffs' shooting pheasants (possibly for food...but they were getting off on it for sure)...

I personally would ban any dog breed that could overpower an adult.... Unworkable I know...then again, being honest, I don't like dogs anyway.

putting pheasant shooting in the same league as dog fighting was totally off the wall, and i bet the shooters were not told that they were being filmed to appear in the same show as the dog fighting a mistake on there part to be associated in the same light imo

How can you ban big dogs it is not the dogs but the owners I personally dont like little yappy dogs but would not like to see any harmer or miss treated. I perosnally would like to stop over breeding and puppy farms. Go in any rescue centre and they are over filled and it is horrible to see.

Mostly staffie cross breeds with the odd greyhound thrown in.

Akita and akita cross breeds will likely be up there next along with husky cross breeds cos they look pretty but take some lookin after.
