Hi Everyone, just a quick question. Meeting a friend of mine in Manchester a week on Saturday, a bit of away time for the 2 of us, Do you know of any good hotels that are close to the Arndale shopping center Manchester?

The Midland and Malmaison are central and good

Plenty of chain hotels mostly around Piccadilly or GMex

The Mercure in Piccadilly is ok, but the rooms have appalling soundproofing. I do stay there the most though when in Manchester.

The Palace is overpriced and a bit out dated with the rooms.

The best place I've found was the Premier Inn at the top end of Deansgate, but it can get pricey.

Crowne Plaza on Shude Hill is very close to the Arnfale. Malmaison and Adobe are really nice hotels just off Piccadilly and there is a new Travel Lodge in the Old Woollies building that has only just opened and is perfectly placed for shopaholics.

To be honest the Arndale Centre is just like any other city shopping place with the same shops. Walk around outside and you'll have a much better experience of Manchester. Exchange Square, St Anne's Square, Deansgate and Spinningfields to name a few places.

Have a great time.

Yeah Crown Plaza is just a stone's throw away. There are some nice apartments at shude hill, I'll msg again with the company name and number when i get home this aft. My fb and i stopped in large open plan 2 bed apt., newly fitted everything with all amenities, for 2 nights for less than the plaza
