Just finished a collection of MR James ghost stories. Still working my way through all of Iain M Banks in order of publication as well - I like to alternate my reading! I've got a Sherri S Tepper I picked up second hand that I haven't read yet waiting to go too.

When Will There Be Good News by Kate Atkinson, just finished it in fact, quite good but she asks me to suspend my disbelief too often. Have just started a kindle download of the diaries of a woman from North Dakota edited and published by her daughter, it's fascinating.

I have just started "Everyday Sexism", it's fucking grim.

I am also reading "The story of O", the original BDSM novel, but consent is everything to me and I can quite enjoy the book to its fullest extent in worrying about the lack of it. I so don't want it to be similar mysogynistic, rapey twaddle like 50 Shades.

If you like good literotica, Nikki Gemmel's, "The Bride Stripped Bare" and " With my Body" are great. The female protagonists are full of enthusiastic consent.
