Do you enter the mums , dads or grandparents race? I am just about to do my stretches and get my trainers on.

All in preparation to embarrass the life out of my kiddies this afternoon

Making memories for them to laugh about when they are older is part of the job ya know

Nearly all competitiveness has been drained out of our school sports day and parents are kept behind a tape that looks like something from a crime scene

Sports days banned from our area as they got too competative. I didnt even have a chance to run the other Dads into the ground and ruin them.

What do they mean too competative, its only a bit of fun

Its what we tell our kids, the Aussies dont. They went on to rule quite a few sports for quite a few years

I used too when my older kids where little. Loved running..Unsure whether I could run to the bottom of our path now . Although the school my little one goes to doesn't offer this option. Wonder why a lot of schools have scrapped it? It's a shame really the kids, used to love their parents making an ass out of themselves.

hell no.... remember the more embarrasing you do, the more stick your kids will get till the next sports day......

you better be able to run like ben johnson, cycle like lance armstrong...

okay... not the best examples!!!

Done our first ever sports day last week.

There wasn't a grandparents race so we had to run with the parents. Well I didn't , he did

Seeing as he was at least 30 years older then the majority of the dad's, was wearing shoes, it was peeing down and it was done on grass, he came somewhere in the middle

But omg, the dad's were worse then the kids for the cheating, most were away before the buzzer lol

I half expected tears

I did when they were at school.... Now I volunteer for the Staff relay.. Last year the other three teams had already finished before the baton got to me, I still ran as fast as I could and got cheered home by the kiddies.

Aww bless her . Fingers crossed she does

Got my youngests report card today saying he is very competitive and shows bad sportsmanship!

Some of the best athletes in the world don't like losing , That is how they are the best
