Sneezing like a goodun here with eyes red and puffy. Can't wear make up as it will just rub off and I think I bought a drowsy form of anti histamine from Asda the other day while I wait for my prescription to get filled!!!

I love the summer!!!

Doesn't help that I'm on greenhouse watering duty while my dad is away!

Yeah I've heard that too. Might give it a go this year.

I used to get asthma with it which really upset my mum as her brother died of an asthma attack. We weren't allowed to tell my nan foe ages! Luckily that seems to have stopped now.

All day yesterday I kept getting asked if I'd been crying lol

You have my sympathy.

Opricrom (or a generic form) eye drops work, in my experience. Wearing sunglasses outside helps too.

Beconase nasal spray works too but can make your nose and throat sore.

Smearing vaseline under your nose is supposed to help too, since it traps pollen and prevents you from inhaling it. I've not tried that though.

Try wearing a dust mask (a standard DIY should be fine) to water the plants, and consider changing your clothes straight afterwards.

An ioniser can help inside the house, as can an air filter.

Not all antihistamines are made equal. Try various ones until you find what's best for you. Just bear in mind that it takes a while for the effects to build up fully, so give each one a chance. If the over the counter ones don't work, there are some prescription only ones you could ask your doctor for.

Take the antihistamines every day throughout your hayfever season even on days you don't have symptoms. The effects are accumulative.

The honey thing you have to start some time before hayfever season to give your body a chance to build up tolerance.

Ipswich

I used to live in Kent and got it all the time. Now I'm in Suffolk - I rarely get any symptoms whatsoever.

I guess it's different pollen up here...
