...Up on the Downs

But you're supposed to get storms in summer - it's the heat that sets them off! I love thunder, as long as I'm safe inside and my horses are too!

Are animals afraid because they sense its something to be afraid of by their owners being scared?

im not a fan of spiders but i try not to let that show to my daughter, so hopefully she grows up not batting an eyelid at one.

i think i got my fear from my mum as she hates them

I hate it cause it upsets my dog so much, its really quite distressing to watch him.

Yeah. Well staffie cross.

80 % staff

20 % tasmanian devil.

Actually he is the softest lump you could ever wish to meet.

Feed him, water him, play football with him and provide mucho snuggles and you don't hear a peep out of him.

Never barks, rarely whinges, never messes or tries to chew. Good lad really now he is settled.

He even gives hugs.

If he's lay with me, he puts his head on the top of my arm. If I then put my arm between his front paws and stroke his belly, he crosses his front paws and pulls my arm into his chest so tight, just like gettin a hug.

Yeah he's a good buddy, thunder or no thunder.

Sorry for sounding like 1 of them boring parents

Have you never lived in the UK before? Since when did we ever have long periods of hot dry weather all summer? Once in a blue moon at best!!

There were some almighty storms in Bristol last year. The whole point of the UK is that you can get any weather any time and usually do.
