Titz Towers, North Notts

I've been to Lincoln. Only bought a book. Spent a fiver in the shops and twice that having a bad dinner. Made a shocking discovery - a nice second hand bookshop halfway up Steep Hill has closed down. I had powered up the hill in top gear, legs striding, ready to ask for their history section and the use of a defibrillator when I got there, but no. Closed down. Gits.

What's everyone else done today?

Nice quite relaxing day, a little bit of shopping, a couple of pints and lunch down the pub and currently sat in the park listening to old school tunes eating a strawberry cornetto

Bristol

Spent the afternoon with my mum, which was ace fun as always (although I did yet again get told off for not making an effort to look more girlie - I pointed out that my bad eyesight was genetic inheritance from her but apparently lenses and eye make-up is the least I can do as a proper daughter). Since then, I have sorted the recycling, tidied up the shoe pile in the hallway and fixed a computer hardware problem for my best mate via text messages. Now reading MR James whilst watching Soccer Aid.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I watched Andrew Marr, did a bit of ironing (it's not right doing it in the morning), then had bacon and eggs.

Showered, dressed in purple, went to entertain the crowds with choir and spent time socialising in the sun before getting too hot.

Home did some work and then the highlight of my day - I "moved into" my new handbag ready for work tomorrow.

Did the washing, made the bed up, thought about my outfits for the week, read a bit of my book, watched some telly, had dinner and ate punnet of strawberries.

Fab.

For the first time in months I truly relaxed. I sat in the garden with the family and didn't work (apart from doing the laundry but that doesn't count as work)....complete Bliss. I could get used to it

After getting to bed at 1.30 am this morning from work, I was up at 5am to go to my daughters to babysit her little one whilst she did a car boot which I then took him to following a wrestle with the car seat. Then stitched the hem of her work trousers whilst she did him lunch. Went home with my goodies I had bought and put a wash on which I then hung out, dishwasher on, second load of washing in and went for a nap. Woke to torrential rain so had to rewash washing. Sorted dry washing out and put fresh sheets on my bed. Washed the bathroom and toilet, cooked a nice piece of pork for roast, now about to wash up possibly

And with any luck you`ll have a natter with someone, a laugh with someone else who`s made a silly comment, been able to perve at a lady or three and got rid of some cr*p even if you didn`t get much for it!

Fareham

We visited my son's grave, tidied it and added a new solar ornament (a little orange and white VW camper) as it would've been his birthday today.

Then had a lovely lunch at the local marina before catching a ferry across the harbour and walking to the common where there was a big D-Day event going on.

Had an ice cream, walked back to the ferry, drove to my daughter's to pick up a bike then drove home where we're now relaxing (shattered!) in front of some rubbish telly. A good day

Forgot!

I managed to upset a few runners who were taking part in some "nationally important road race" (important my arse!) that most of our village didn`t even know was taking place!
