What has the world come to?!

Somebody from here couldn't message me because of my filters... So he found me on facebook and sent me a message on there!

I'm actually quite upset about this!!

Has anyone else had this problem?

I've changed my facebook settings now!

I am guessing that he might have used tineye on one of the non-rude pics and found the same pic was being used on facebook....

and she didn't have the privacy settings on facebook so that the whole world could see the profile...

but yes.... its a tad low to do that

I've got a different pic on facebook than I do on here. I've done everything I know how to do on facebook to hide my profile but he had 2 mutual friends so the privacy settings didn't work.

I'm a bit shaken up

I posted a meet request using my gmail once and hadn't changed the name. Someone googled me and checked out my Facebook. When I told him off he said people his age did that sort of thing all the time. So now my Facebook is locked up tight, and my email names have been changed. I have also disabled web search on my Fab profile. Unfortunately our internet presence is only as secure as we make it.

People can gain lots of information from little details on the net. If you feel that vulnerable, leave off face pics from public pics/gallery. Facebook is a dirge on society.

I don't give out my number or email address. Nor my full name. Ive just changed my profile so my face pics are private.

If you are on the internet on social sites then chances are you can be found,just the way it is.If you are really worried about it I would leave one or the other.

You have your face pic on profile ? It's rude of him but anyone could recognise you ? What about the 23 men in your area not daft enough to message you on face book but who are stalking you ?

I'd suggest loosing the face pic ?

Had a guy do similar to me, sent me odd messages not revealing who he was buthe said he can track my Facebook from fab.

He even hinted at raping me until I called his bluff, played with him and he went AWOL. Afterall rapists don't inform their victims first.

Still not sure how he found me but may be a guy I rejected and knows a friend of mine.

I got bounced from Facebook as I couldn't convince them my last name was Titz. They sent me a message with some nonsense about a driving licence or other form of ID

Someone found me on facebiok then told me thst he had been sat in the car park and saw us. Hence the fact most pics are private

He probably recognised your face and as you said you had mutual friends on facebook, then he is a friend of a friend & chancing his luck. x
