Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Love my curries but they are so bad for the waistline!

My favourite is a prawn puri to start, then keema dansak with channa dahl and a spinach bhaji. That lot can last me three days though

Last time I went to Leicester I had an awesome curry. Not quite hot enough for me but very tasty.

We tried some different breads. In York they think that naan is exotic - it was great to have something different.

Cardiff

Jalfrezi or a Madras. The madras is just sauce and not much to it other than the heat.

The jal will have onions, peppers and a thicker sauce.

I had a M+S Prawn Makhani last night with two naans - fuck the rice.

Great consistancy to it but no heat, still great flavours though

it never will be as they all use MSG in thier cooking just like the chinese, it enhances the taste but not all that good for you.

But you can buy it at any chinese supermarket they sell big bags of it as the Orientals love it.

Yeah, i think it does. It might be because i'm used to the spices so that's what i would expect. But, sometimes the bland flavour is nice - if that makes sense. Something different.

its for the opposite reason i enjoy a curry.. food id eat is typically veg with potato n meat.. no major spicing or herbs involved. pepper n salt, beef/chicken stock.

thats still full of flavour to me but when i have a curry my pallet just cant handle it

Make my own also, every weekend, it's like a tradition now, perfected it now too and I'd say it was as good as restaurant made, have a look on YouTube, loads of good vids on there with how to do it restaurant style, the secret is in doing the base sauce, I make a batch up that lasts a couple of month.

Tends to be just a beef vindaloo or phall, always like it hot, but the great thing Bout the base sauce is that it has no heat in it so it can be used in loads of different style curry's, apart from korma types.

Look on YouTube for a video called how to make base gravy by a guy called Julian voigt, learned a lot from his channel.
