In Your Bush

Does anybody really do this? If I ever attempt it, by the time I've finished, it's either time for bed or I can't be bothered to eat it

I seem to live on take outs or ting ting meals. Before malnutrition sets in, please join the campaign to keep Ryan alive by giving me your quick and easy belly fillers below.

I shall take inspiration after the pub

I do. Usually make a full portion and freeze whats left. Eventually you get a week off cooking. Xx

Maybe do something you can eat leftovers next day like roast chicken so can make chicken curry after or salad or stew with veg.. loads of things you can make easy for one ... x pasta with bacon and tomatoes easy .

A simple easy but healthy dish is cod loins with pancetta, pine nuts and green beans add a couple of whole lemons to roast..it's so tasty. Dollop of oil and roast in oven for 20=30 mins...squeeze lemons over fish...nom nom.

1 chicken breast sliced

One small sliced onion

Half tin of tomato

A wallop of sweet chilli sauce

Extra chilli flakes if you want

Sliced half of a pepper

Fry chicken and onions until they are cooked. Throw in the other stuff till its all cooked through. You can even go mad if you want and throw in baby sweetcorn, or mange tout, or frozen peas or...

Invite me over for dinner and then you'll be cooking for two.

When I do have to cook for myself on the rare occasions I am not being fed I opt for veg and salads with some fish or easy meat (e.g. steak). Or pasta.

Get a slow cooker.

Cheap, easy and you don't have to do much just chuck it all in in the morning then switch it on and it's waiting for you at dinner time

Casseroles in the slow cooker & freeze leftovers . Slow cook a lamb shank - frozen veg. Shepherds pie - make 2 small ones - cook one & freeze one. Same with lasagne.

All else fails resort to Pot Noodles !

Get a slow cooker..... Brilliant.

Or try this which takes 10 mins.

Knob of butter or some kind of don't believe it's not....

Handful of chicken breast chunks, half a chopped onion, 4 chestnut mushrooms in chunky slices.

Fry for 5 mins.

Sprinkle a tablespoon of flour over, stir and add a cup of milk and a large handful of frozen sweet corn. Stir till thickens and add some grated cheese.

An old student recipe of mine - cheesy chick!

Serve with rice or pasta or on a thick toasted crust!

Get one from Tescos .. not a lot 25 pounds I think and you can make all sorts of lovely things. And have friends over to dinner . You will get a book on how to make all sorts and very easy.

Simplest meal I do is chicken, peppers, onion and pasta with sime sour cream and cheese.

Do spag bol and chilli in larger batches and freeze them.

Do a mean chocolate cookie usually baked on Thursday for weekend snacks.

if you can make a spag bol sauce then you have the makings for a chilli,and a lasagne,get a veg steamer and you can do potatos in the bottom half green beans in middle and fish in the top all at the same time,slo cooker, you can bung meat and veg in go to work and when you get home you have a meal,add frozen Yorkshires 4 mins in the oven,or do a steak and put a jacket potato in the micro,fry mushrooms with your steak add a salad,lean grilling machine,do your meat and veg on there at the same time,now get off your bum and start cooking

I've cooked for a few...no complaints.

A good salad with a balsamic dressing, olives, croutons cherry toms and feta.... Top it with a 14oz ribeye steak....cooked rare on the old George form by grill and cut into strips. Whole thing done in under 10 mins. A nice Chilean Merlot ... Cannot go wrong (but more fun when cooked for two!)

Mr works away sometimes so I tend to do slow cooker meals, shepherds pie, lasagne, pasta bakes and things like that to freeze the rest. Failing that, salmon/chicken with salad and new potatoes is quick and easy

I've tried the cooked chicken in supermarkets etc and its shite but hidden in all the shite in Iceland they do 3or 4cooked skinless chicken breasts in a pack. The stuff mens dreams are made of. I've just spunked my pants thinking about it

If you don't already own one, get yourself a large stockpot & do a mean curry, chilli, gumbo etc, & freeze what you don't eat! That's the way to go, dude, - it makes life ssssoooooooo much easier!!

There is loads that is easy to cook and you can have extra for next day (or couple of days)

Shepherds pie is a great one, I use lamb shoulder and take it off the bone myself (dogs love those days)

Steak n chips takes 10 mins tops to cook.

Slow roast a side of beef, you have Sunday dinner and leftovers for Enchiladas, cottage pie, wraps and more through out the week.

Similar here in fact I had a new kitchen fitted, a little difficult to cook a proper meal and haven't managed to get back into the swing of eating properly and have lost half a stone in about 3 months

I love cooking and don't mind spending time on days off cooking from scratch. Working days however I use the steam fresh veg and the rice fusions. Brilliant to have with any chicken, steak etc
