When you replace your cream carpet (that has been ruined by black candle wax)...

Buy a black one, that will not be ruined by black candle wax!

Yes to the brown paper.. There is no more wax coming off now, just the black colour staining the carpet,, think I will have to try some bleach... Oh door,,, or go through the insurance ..

Serious advice...

Contact the candle makers and ask what sort of dye they use and what is the correct solvent to remove the dye from your carpet.

If you use the wrong solvent it may have the effect of fixing the dye.
