It's a popularity measure fuelled by objectification, feeding the ego. It reinforces a belief that swinging is becoming more and more about mere physical attributes than the person.

No one's ever proposed to fab profile texts - so that those who put the effort into their online personalities are awarded a measure of recognition.

However I fab pics to show appreciation of the person as much as the odd ones I fab because I think wow I tend to fab friends or people who's posts I appreciated rather than the porno pics

Seems most people don't mind it then
