it's your profile no one make anyone look at it so as long as the photo isn't breaking site rules then I don't see what their problem would be.

To my mind nothing, it has been used on my profile many times.....they found it objectionable and wanted me to remove it, am still a bit shocked that I was asked to do this, obviously if a mod or admin didn't like it would be removed, but I am trying to figure out the narrow mind of the person on a site like this.

Depends on whether the person complaining has a connection with the pic, i.e. they or their partner was in it. Then I feel they have the right to request it removed. If not however then I'd simply say "Don't look then".

Since you have seen fit to ensure I know your thoughts on one of my pictures, allow me to share one of mine. It is my opinion that your perspective of any part of my profile is a complete irrelevance to me. I further believe you should do as the good Book says: go forth and multiply."

All depends, what they object to and how they word the objection. If they say the background is messy for instance then I may well review the picture and possibly thank them and swap it out.

If they have some rights over the picture e.g. some of their body parts are in it then I would remove it no questions asked.

If they just don't like a legit picture content then block and forget.

Arkell v. Pressdram (1971) [unreported]

Solicitor (Goodman Derrick & Co.):

We act for Mr Arkell who is Retail Credit Manager of Granada TV Rental Ltd. His attention has been drawn to an article appearing in the issue of Private Eye dated 9th April 1971 on page 4. The statements made about Mr Arkell are entirely untrue and clearly highly defamatory. We are therefore instructed to require from you immediately your proposals for dealing with the matter. Mr Arkell's first concern is that there should be a full retraction at the earliest possible date in Private Eye and he will also want his costs paid. His attitude to damages will be governed by the nature of your reply.

Private Eye:

We acknowledge your letter of 29th April referring to Mr J. Arkell. We note that Mr Arkell's attitude to damages will be governed by the nature of our reply and would therefore be grateful if you would inform us what his attitude to damages would be, were he to learn that the nature of our reply is as follows: fuck off.

"Well if they are going to go out of their way to be rude, I would say piss off and look at someone else's then.

If there is nothing good to say, then say nothing at all.

Appreciate that, in messages I am not rude, I just point out that if they had read my profile they should not have sent me a message as they are wasting their time

I'd do them a favour, and block them. I'm so considerate.

reported profile and looks like admin blocked us from each other as after the last message I checked the profile & can only see two wee boxes, not the usual "you have blocked" or "they blocked you" message, thanks mods/admin, will save that profile some grief or heartburn lol
