Central

It is worth checking youth hostels for adventure courses - all ages covered. You get a break, learn and participate and prices are reasonable.

It depends where you want to go and for how long, there is great rafting days in Scotland on the river Orchy or Tay, both which are surrounded by amazing scenery. You could raft one day and walk hike or mountain bike for a few days. There is plenty of reasonably priced b&b and small hotels.

Rafting company Splash will give you a great day out rafting and then maybe take you waterfall diving.

For zip lines check out Go ape or the forestry commission

If you want to go further afield check out

Morzine, let Getz or the port du solie websites, they will have all these activities and it's only 1 hour from Geneva Airport

Hope you enjoy yourself

Depends where you go as to the cost.

In 2002 spent a day white water rafting through rain forest in Indonesia with 11 other people, after finishing we were taken to a restaurant for a meal, the cars had been ferried to the restaurant. Total cost was £3.50 each including the meal.

In fairness Indonesia's economy had collapsed around that time, we stayed in 5 star hotels for about £25 a night.

Ok

There is all the above in the Portes du Solie check out Morzine let's run by a English guy ( John Slater) he has apartments and hotels. The ridge is a decent budget hotel and this is a beautiful area, with reasonable priced food for France and Switzerland
