You have 2 weeks to protect yourself from a "powerful computer attack".

Gameover Zeus will search specifically for files containing financial information.

If it cannot find anything it deems of worth, some strains of Gameover Zeus will then install Cryptolocker - a ransomware program that locks a person's machine until a fee is paid.

Yes, it's looking pretty serious. Plenty of advice to get and run scanning software to detect this virus, if you're a Microsoft user.

Fortunately I've got Apple computers, so I will be immune.

I wouldnt be so smug about your Apple products.

Seems they are being targeted using the same software that you use to track your product if lost or stolen.

They then lock it and demand cash to release it.

If you research that story further you will find that they have to trick you into giving them your password. It's not a software virus.

And of course I would never tell them my password is Rumpe1stiltsk!n
