half pennies

Ok so I may be showing my age here but the other day I happened to mention 1/2 penny coins ... I was looked at like I was from the planet freak of the constellation retarded ... I mean someone even said that I was lying and they couldnt not didnt but COULDNT have existed ... surely I am not the only ones that remembers those damn little coins that I could never find!

yes jack andkate they were limited editions if i remember rightly the £5 coins I mean lol, well glad im not the only one and as for thrupenny bits etc i have some but i dont remember them per se, I DO remember one pound notes too omg thats going back a while for me :P

well my great gran used to call them ha pennies but i think she remembered money from the roman era of Britain lol think when she was a girl there was 200 and odd pennies in a pound

I(fem) remember saving my pennies and my Mum changed them for a £1 note. My Dad asked to look at the note and tore off a corner, gave it back to me and told me it was now only worth 19/6d. I was heartbroken and my Mum had to change it for me.
