Ok...so why is the C word deemed too offensive? Someone can be called a pussy...a vagina...even a fanny but the C word is taboo? Its only a word .....dont get me wrong i dont use it for fear of offending but is it really that bad?

Anyone who doesn't like the word cunt is, ironically, a cunt.

Omg why oh why did you have to mention the c word. It's a word I dislike because the more I hear it the more I want it even though I have already had some today.

I really hate hearing the word except in it's proper usage. Just as I hate when someone can't string a sentence together without the fffing and blinding! Don't get me wrong I can swear with the best of them, but there is no need. I hear female colleagues using the c word all the time and it really is horrible.

I love the word when talking sex. When I call somebody a cunt they have really upset or annoyed me and I wouldn't say it in front of one of my collegues as I know I would offend her

There are some words that I don't like to hear in general conversation, but during sex, all those words are a turn on, especially when whispered in my ear

Most people in so called 'normal' society would deem it a vulgar word even in swinging circles many females find it derogatory. My personal view is that in a private setting used in context that it can be very arousing.

I like cunt. Good old Anglo Saxon word. I went to see the vagina monologues and it was amazing to hear 500 women all screaming 'cunt' at the tops of their voices. It's just a word and to be honest, someone calling me 'darling' can be equally offensive, given the right tone of voice.

It's OK in a comedy setting, for example,

"What do we want?"...

"A cure for Tourettes"...

"When do we want it?"...

"CUNT!"

you may joke but I work with people who do just this...one of my colleagues, a mild mannered woman, was totally destroyed by a Tourettes sufferer who called her a cunt. He apologised, profusely, then said 'fucking cunt' under his breath as he walked away. You just got to laugh...
