I keep reading about people having a swing phone for all sorts of reasons.

Me I have one phone and a mind that ignores along with a block button.

Who has a swing phone ?

Me. I also use it for things like Freegle so they don't get my real number.

No, I just only give my number out when a meet is arranged. If no further meets will occur I delete the number and ignore any messages. I guess it helps that I don't meet in my home.

I did have one once but I lent it to my daughter for a festival and haven't seen it since.

We do.

Mainly because we cocked up at the beginning and gave his number out and he was getting harrassed for meets while he was at work.

So we deleted the men who thought they could ring any time of the day or night and got a play phone

I don't but only 3 people have my number and 2 are really good friends from here and the local scene. The 3rd person is pretty distant, but is awesome and I trust her implicitly not to put it on a card in a phonebox

Once in 6 years I have had a problem and that was because a single guy wasn't so single as I found out when his wife called.

I never answer my phone to a number I don't know now.

When I worked in a call centre, I suggested that to the chargehand as a reasonable proposition to keep my life simple. He didn't smile on the idea. I personally thought it was a winner.

I use a carrier pigeon to bring me all my fab correspondence.

He's had so little work he is possibly too fat to fly now.

I have only given my number to people I want to meet or want to meet again. And I never answer if I don't know the number. I'm a text girl anyway, I get shy on the phone.

I have one. I'm self employed and clients sometimes pass that number on to other potential clients so I get calls from numbers I don't know.

When I started I only had the one phone and I did have one nutter who kept calling and changing his number (four times in one day) in order to get me to answer.

I have a house phone, that sits on a crocheted doily, on it's own table, at the foot of the stairs for my fab-friend calls.

I'm with you Moody...I've only ever blocked one person who I gave my number to and that was pre-emtive when he asked for a meet then didn't bother getting in touch...I've just had a look and I've got about 40 Fab contacts on my phone - I'm probably only in touch with about a dozen of them so I may have a clear out soon

If I get a text or call at an inappropriate time then I ignore it until it's convenient to answer/call back

Ive always had a back up number and have used that as opposed to using personal number. It just helps keeping things organised and idiot proof really.

We don't. Very few people get either of our numbers though unless we've met them. We don't ever do phone verifications and just use this and another similar site to keep in contact with people.

We don't.

We also have only given our number 2 one couple on here for veri purposes. We usually use Skype or Kik. I hate giving my number out. I have taken numbers so if interested I block my number and call.

I've found that even when meeting for a social meet, everyone uses their mobiles for this site so our last meet we kept in touch the whole was to the restaurant through fab. It worked out fine. Just proves yet again we don't need to give out our number.

My format is First name would be FAB followed by profile name then real name (if I know it) in the last name field

I admit that we don't use a swing phone... But we are very careful to who we give our numbers out to, we did discuss having a swing phone at the beginning but then decided that if we only gave our number out to those that we had met we shouldn't come across any problems, and we haven't so far!
