a programme that's just been advertised on chan4 about 5 terminally ill people showing the last stages of their lives.

is that a bit wrong, making a tv show about thi.

one of them even says it would make better tv if one of them dies on the show

sad but matter of fact - if it upsets/offends you dont watch it - i dont particularly like footie - so dont watch it

When I saw Russell Howard a few months ago he finished with an amazing true story about a lad who was on his way out. Very uplifting and extremely funny, which given the subject matter made it even more uplifting.

BBC1 did a show an old man pass away on screen in a documentary about life and death. Think Michael Mosley presented it.

It's insightful to the point of what many different terminally ill people have to go through before tragically succumbing to whatever illness has sadly inflicted them.

And yet, I'm one who dislikes Gogglebox and get crucified.

My apologies I misunderstood you. However I don't think dying is wrong. Unfortunate perhaps. As I said before it's a part of life. And like any stage of life it's what you make of it.

thats fine and i agree with you, just not sure of the tv programme bit but if it helps just one person i guess its a good thing. for me being a big wuss i prob wont watch as it will have me in tears lol

We are all going to die...some sooner than others and if they wish to show their final few months on national tv then fair play to them...it's a very brave thing to do...some embrace death differently to others ...me I'd live my last few months with a smile on my face and a vodka in my hand...

I do find programmes like this a bit intrusive to be honest.

I know they have signed up for it and I know it's a fact of life that people die but I don't think it's something that should be televised.

There was a scene on 999 what's your emergency where the paramedics stopped working on an elderly lady and you could visibly see her husbands world fall down around him, it was actually very harrowing to watch, worse than knowing the lady had died.

was a programme about euthenasia a while back - followed two people through the whole process til the end - very thought provoking and certainly helped my understanding of it all
