ok so....evidently some rather adventurous uni students decided to throw a gang bang together last week. one girl and 5 guys. they took pics and vids that then circulated via whatsapp. now, they've established that everyone was there in a consensual context but the uni have suspended the 5 guys involved for throwing the uni into disrepute. no mention at all of disciplinary action against the female. people are also saying that this event is highlighting the lad culture inherent in sports, because the guys were all on a rugby team.

personally, i wish i'd been the girl being serviced by 5 fit, enthusiastic hotties and the uni need to get a grip.

but, beloved forumites, what are your thoughts?

It is because it doesn't fit with the vanilla, diversity and equal ops mentality that these institutions are so wrapped up in. Can't be seen for consenting adults to have some group fun.

If you're going to publicise an orgy on social media then be aware that not everyone is going to be impressed and the consequences may not be exactly how you imagined

ah, i understand. yes, it could negatively impact poss future careers. as fur they're studies, i doubt it negatively impacts them. as fur the uni... well, being in uni myself i can vouch that this is far from the first time this has hsppened amongst students. the uni knows what students get up to, too.

when does the line blur between living your life to be happy and living your life to uphold the public image of something that is a transient part of your life?

see, I'm an undergrad student and there are only a few lecturers that i'd do. but now I'm visualising doing them all at once

I guess those involved weren't taught the meaning of discretion as part of their studies.

If it is the one I have seen it was Leeds Uni and frankly it was appalling, the guys seemed more interested in making smart arse comments and treating the girl with contempt, rather than enjoying the experience and respecting everyone involved.

I haven't seen the video. I only read about the incident in a Uni news thing. I thought it interesting that the guys were being disciplined without mention of any discipline for the young lady. Perhaps she's not a student at the uni. Personally, I wouldn't have allowed the pics or video to be taken. That said, it was...to my understanding.... Only shared via whatsapp with some statuses made on a certain social media site as well. I can see the argument that discretion is seemingly no longer the better part of valor. However, I really don't agree with the idea that it brought either the uni or the participants into some form of disrepute. To be blunt, why should.... For instance.... Any prospective employer give a toss about the sex life of a prospective employee? That opens the door to again been judged on lifestyle choices and morality, rather than on competence within an employable skillset.

There is a reason camera's are banned in swingers clubs. Society is not ready for actual details of peoples sex lives hell even before swinging with my first wife in a married relationship I would have been sacked if pictures of us having sex were publicly circulated.
