My strength comes from believing in there being good in all people. If I can be good to others and brighten their day then maybe they will go that extra mile and brighten someone else's day and so on...

Hang on that's nigh on impossible in a human's life. We all go through stuff where we do need to draw upon strength. Personally I don't find sympathy from anyone (strangers or loved ones) any help whatsoever. A baby's gurgle, bird song and music are uplifting triggers.

How do you believe karma works?

There's the phrase something on the lines "the good you do to others comes back to you", I believe in this along a hedonistic basis. You do good to others gives you pleasure, this pleasure is the instant reward.

What I don't believe in is the negative aspect of "what goes around, comes around". I think it's a useful philosophy to prevent revenge, hoping that someone who does bad will get his/her just desserts later on.
