"the wife has her forearm in plaster after breaking her wrist, I say even though our car is automatic with electric auto release handbreak, it is not legal for her to drive as she is not in full control. a guy we know said it is not advisable for her to drive but not illegal as there is no law saying you cant drive with a broken arm. i think he's raving mad and its me who is right. anyone wish to clarify for me please?? (i have no intention of letting her drive whatever the outcome)" Should not be driving you need two hands on the steering wheel to be in full control of the vehicle!

"When I broke my wrist the nurse told me you are not insured if you drive with a cast on. So yes it is illegal." There would be a real possibility that insurance would be void.
