People not replying

Why do so many people not reply to messages? I dont send that many as I prefer quality but how hard is it to just reply with something like 'no thanks' or 'thanks anyway' or just anything at all? I realise many women probably get loads of messages but surely it is just common courtesy to at least acknowledge a message. I wouldnt dream of just not replying.
