Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The UK has many place names that incomers could never hope to know how to pronounce.

Happisburgh in Norfolk, for instance. I know how it's pronounced (Hazebrough), more by luck than looking at the spelling.

What local gems to do you have?

The obvious one is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

but most place names starting with an Ll causes problems and a lot will pronounce them with a Cl so clan instead of Llan

Going across the county border is abroad.
