sherry or brandy altho a friend of mine does a wicked one with vodka!

tyesco have been selling brandy or rum sauce...instead of poring it over a cake, I just glugged mine out the carton..its like custard lol

Traditional is brandy. But any high alcohol content booze works. Rum makes the cake taste sweeter. But all have a preservative affect. To the point where i re iced a 5 year old Christmas cake I found in the back of a cupboard this year and feed it brandy once again and it was lush
