My daughter. I have the pleasure of brushing and putting her hair up, and I'm no stylist let me assure you. Hair clips bobbles and head bands allover the place. It's a dad thing I'm sure!

keep it simple with a ponytail & gel down any stray hairs before clipping it.

Definitely watch that youtube video! Lol. At least then she will look ok. You're not alone, my dad was pretty useless at skill that, too......but by golly i do know how to fish like a demon!

There are things women can do that men can't and that is one of them, I have tried and failed several times, I can't hold the pony tail and twiddle the bobble round at the same time,

The other thing women can do is put a towel on there head and make it stay on

At least you're giving it a try. My Dad was apparently left in charge of us ONCE when I was young. He got into trouble as he hadn't even attempted to brush our hair and had also sent us to school in skirts and jelly shoes with no tights in the dead of winter.

My mother was horrified.

I do remember when I had my third child and it was a boy thinking "Yes whoop no more tears brushing hair" now he is 14 and way more trouble than the 2 girls, I'm thinking tangled hair would have been the easier option !!!

I used to have long hair and I mastered the twiddling thing and even plaited ma then g/f's hair

Fully with you on that one . I'm just the same . My daughter calls it the fuzz ball . Only because it looks like she's just got up out of bed. I've even sat at the table with her in front of a giant dolls head . Never seen my daughter laugh so much !!!

Hands up to you woman who do bobs and twists ( whatever you call them ) .
