What is the oldest food item in your cupboard and will you eat it?

I have a packet of pasta sheets for lasagna, best before May 2007. I am almost tempted to make one and see if they still taste ok.

My boss' family are terrible for this. They always the buy best quality food, but in such a quantity that it is almost always past its' best when they come to eat it.

"A bottle of Soy Sauce. It will not be used "

Take it to a friends house and plant it in the garden when they aren't there, with just the neck sticking up. It'll puzzle them a bit.

Yes, but you'll put a smile on so many people's faces and you'll get over it, until we resurrect it 3 months later....

A bottle of lemon juice (for pancakes)...

We know we should throw it away, but for some unknown reason, it seems like too much effort.
