They are just showing the Going for an English sketch. It still makes me laugh.

I love goodness gracious me, wish it was still on, they probably have added a fake audience laughing when it use to be a real audience back in the day

I love goodness gracious me, wish it was still on, they probably have added a fake audience laughing when it use to be a real audience back in the day"

I first heard the sketch on R4, very late on a Friday night as I was driving back from a night out.

They are doing all the alternative comedy of the 80s and 90s now. I feel very old.

Yes she did, she played a really old lady in Open all Hours and that was years ago. Shows just what a good actress she is.

The four candles sketch was one of my first thoughts too.

Oh, and the dead parrot sketch.

I don't like most Monty Python but the dead parrot sketch is brilliant.

I loved Jam even though it was dark as hell - in fact anything Chris Morris has ever been involved with. I do like my comedy and faves also include Kids in the Hall and Big Night Out from when I was a teen then Spaced, The Fast Show and not forgetting Linehan with Father Ted, Big Train and The IT Crowd. I used to watch old comedies like The Ladykillers with my grandad as well and loved those too.

I remember I used to watch drop the dead donkey and whose line is it anyway when I was younger but you can't beat the classics.....fawlty towers cracks me up every time, the two Ronnies were awesome and porridge too. Just now I like rich hall and that hairy Canadian chap who's name I can never remember

I asked generally bu I'm watching the BBC2 programme and realising how many started out on BBC2 and that I have spent most of my life watching and laughing at comedies from BBC2.

Can't pin point any comedies that really made me laugh.

Never really got Vic and Bob, bit young for Morcombe n Wise or the two ronnies.

A great UKIP sketch.
