Newcastle and Gateshead

okay... in the pub the other night and the conversation got round to films and especially rocky because everyone had their favourite (except for 5... we all decided to believe that never existed... just like star wars episode 1... )

anyway my personal order ended up being:

Rocky

IV... (this was one of the bigger arguements... 3 and 4 are basically the same film... except 4 has better training montage, and the best speech at the end "if I can change you can change")

Balboa

II (although 2 has my personal favourite bit when adrianne utters the word "win when she comes out of the come the coma... then goes into the best training montage)

III

and the film that never existed.... V

so film and boxing fans... rank it in your order of greatness....and discuss!!!

I can see this discussion filtering out into a Rocky 6 (or 7).

Pretty much in the order they were filmed.

4 is very much a product of the Cold War with the evil commies getting just as big a kicking as in the 50's films.

I enjoyed the first and balboa the most followed by 3 and 4...

2 and 5 were my least favourite...5 was the biggest disappointment of the lot

The first one is clearly the best: I mean, how much balls does it take to end up a film on a defeat!!

IV is awesome due mainly to its over the top cold war propaganda.

II/III ermmm close tie: I'd say the third one is slightly better.

Balboa was just sad...

V?? There never has been such a thing as Rocky V

Ah the first was always going to be a hard one to beat. Almost a proper film with Stallone in. It also gave us the line I always here straight after a meet......."Ain't gonna be no rematch"..

1 is clearly the best, then 3 clubber lang is the bollocks, then 2 which is basically 1 all over again, 4 is awful and 5 is one of the worst films ever made, tommy morrison the great white dope, then balboa is just ridiculous

2 is a worse version of 1...

4 is a better version of 3...

balboa has it spots.....

and we dare not mention that other one!!!!

I know there aren't many films that have no redeemable features whatsoever.... but the "one we don't name" is one of those films.... even the street fight scene at the end.... pish!!!

I think 3 is the best but I think 4 is the worst ! Even worse than 5 , Balboa was just a re hash , Sad . I rate 1 and 2 about the same

Now you see this is what gets me about rambo films, technically rambo is second film in the series, it's rambo first blood 2

The first one for me. mmmmm would love to socialise with Mr Stallone. I have seen one guy on here who is like him bodywise but heyho. Anyone else resemble him in that way, personality too please form a orderly queue

The best one has to be 4 by far . Then 1,3,2,6 then 5.

Love the rocky films . Even got the sound tracks .
