childhood skills

Ok soooo, my munchkin has decided that this morning be devoted to thoroughly testing his mom's skills in playdoh engineering. I don't remember this being a difficult skillset, but it's been rather a long time since i cultivated it. My boats are far from seaworthy vessels, and my fish seem you be rather disproportional.

Has my engineering suffered due to lack of use, or have i simply become a perfectionist and lack imagination due to old age?

Anybody else notice their childhood skills slipping?
