O2 insists I prove my age

When trying to view Fab on my phone earlier, I got a message from O2 insisting I use my credit card (I don't have one) to prove my age - despite having been a customer of theirs for over 15 years.

Mine did that the other day,phone off then back on and it was ok,id already had the child filters lifted when I first got it so think it was having a bad day

! can view fab ok, but can't watch porn unless I verify LOL.

I keep meaning to go into the store on a saturday, pick on a really geeky teen (hopefully one who works there) and loudly proclaim I wanna watch porn on my goddamn phone!!!.

I had the same problem. I just went into one of their stores and they sorted it for me. I was a bit disappointed that the shop assistant didn't ask for an ID

If you're embarrassed you can just tell them you are trying to access a betting site as they are restricted as well.

I told them someone had sent me link in an e-mail and was told it could have been a betting site. I just nodded my head and said Ohhh right

I just rang and asked my provider to switch it off, I'm with Utility Warehouse and think they use the EE network mainly. Never had any issues and they never asked me what sites I was looking at...although I would have told them if they'd asked as I usually find others are more embarrassed than I am

I find it very funny,that you can have a contract phone,that they will have already credit checked you for.

Signed a legal contract that confirms you are of legal age to do so.

Then they later ask you to prove your over 18.

Tell them your not and watch the panic set in, as they realise the contract isnt enforceable due to your age..

If your not able to access fab because of your phones age restriction.

If you have a Smartphone install the Opera Mini browser app.

You should be able to access it even with the restrictions.

My upgrade is due tomorrow (Galaxy Ace3), I wonder if she still works there
