Stolen from central Warrington between Weds 21 May 20:00 & Thurs 22 May 08:00

Mavis my beloved CBR600 Reg Number J310 MVS (pic in avatar and also on profile, unless it gets deleted by an admin)

If you spot her please pass the info to both myself and the police

I can in no way , shape or form condone acts of physical violence against the individual concerned.

I say individual as they left a pushbike (probably stolen) in her place!

Thought your first post had been stolen for a moment!

If you are certain the pushbike was left by the thief, make sure the Police finger print it. Also if you are in MAG put the word out through your regional rep, the more eyes the better.

Unlikely to be in my area, but will be checking all J reg CBR's I see anyway, hope it is a joy rider and you get it back, if it's gone to order it will be in bits already.

"That sucks dude

Bought her as a garage find around 3 years ago for £250 although she had been looked after.

Started first turn of the key with a new battery and sailed through an MOT. Just needed a little cosmetic work.

You mean increased surely? Statistically the most at risk group are pedestrians.

Working from home waiting for Forensics chap to turn up. He's going to print my other 2 bikes as well.

There's also some CCTV on the way up to where I live.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss... and I hope the situation gets resolved and that your reunited with your machine...

However just out of curiosity having I noticed you referred to your bile as a " her" can I ask why you choose to give your machine a gender specific identity....

Is that true ? I'd be amazed if pedestrians are more at risk than motorcyclists.

All motorcycles allowed out of the factory are "her", if they let the males out too we could breed our own

Carful ? Was that a Freudian Slip around Reg Numbers ;o)

Aye fully aware of what can be found out (costs about a fiver I think it is and you tick a box to say you are a authorised car park attendant or something) and from a previous job in abuse investigation I know just how easy it can be to dig out publically available info.

Well Spotted

And as someone else commented, bikes are always female (well they are if you're male)

Mind you so are ships "God Bless Her and all who sail in Her" etc etc

Statistically in pure numbers it's true, but there are more pedestrians, so percentage wise nobody knows.

Sorry to hear about your motorcycle being stolen, but you need to put the pic in your public gallery - at the moment it's only an avatar and too small to be recognisable.

"Great Britain: 2011

As a form of bump to keep this at the top of the forum...

Interesting figures, how exactly do you think the measured the billion vehicle miles of push-bikes and pedestrians? and given that it takes a pedestrian 1 hour to cover the distance any other form of transport would cover in 5 to 15 minutes have they weighted appropriately?

You are allowed to post Youtube links, e.g. Mavis's cousin, not Mavis but a strong family resemblance she looks a bit like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV9rSBJZM0Q

Unfortunatley that is the harsh reality.

The only small crumb of comfort I can cling too is that I have protected NCB and may make a small profit based on market value.

On the downside I now worry more about my other bikes

It occurs to me thinking of relative risks and accident statistics that parachuting it probably one of the safest pastimes in the world, almost nobody has ever died or been injured whilst parachuting... of course the landing statistics are a bit different
