So an internal panel consisting of some of Scudamore's closest friends and decided that no further action should be taken for his sexist comments. Didn't see that one coming!

Should he have been fired? Or is it a storm in a teacup?

Storm in a teacup it was personal emails no one can tell me they aint sent a joke email to a friend that may be about a disater or slightly sexist etc

If the press only knew what really went on with the money men at the Premierleague they would have enough to fill the front pages for weeks! But as it is all about money and Scudamore is very good at securing that for the clubs and their chairmen, he could probably commit murder and they would let him keep his job!

I think he's shown he has poor judgement for a man in his position. That's more of an issue for me than the offence people think he may have caused.

Also, he messed it up further by trying to justify the emails, despite apologising previously.

If this happened during work time and on his work e-mail then he should have been sanctioned. As the leader the Board will be giving the go ahead for other staff to use the e-mail system inappropriately.

As I don't know if it was in work time or on the work e-mail I can't say further than that.

If his sexism extends to his working behaviour then of course he should face some sort of sanction.

That's what I meant by being a man. But if those emails were private then she should have ignored them. As long as it's just comments and he doesn't treat female employees with the same contempt

Just a disgruntled "bird" (said in a non sexist, I live birds kind of way) selling her story to the trash press and doing the rounds trying to tout her wares to anyone that will listen.

I am sure Max Clifford would have love to represent her.

He was silly. He has a high profile position and should not have committed anything to email, whether workwise or private, that could come back to bite him. I agree that it is his poor judgement that is in question, not the actual emails he sent. Having read the extracts, it is fairly clear that they were jokey.

i disagree, firstly, she as disclosed private information thats gross misconduct as she would have signed a confidentality agreement therefore she is someone who cannot be trusted secondly she worked for him for two months last year (2013) she felt so duty bound to report him its taken her until may 2014 to do it, if worked for the company i work for she would be taken through the legal system, and so should the sunday mirror who yet again publish someones private conversations via email.

Whether you agree with his comments or not that is not the case she as breached his trust by divulging his personal emails.

I have no sympathy for her.

Not seen the full copies, only out of context comments.

Seems like she sat on these until the best time to sell them came up.

He should have been smarter and not said this in an email as he is a public figure and so you have to assume all records are open to being exposed.

There is a difference between offensive comments between friends and offensive comments made to others.
