Don't know if this one has been done yet but seen many posts about smart phones.

Does anyone have or use a Smart Watch, i have been looking at the Samsung Gear 2 which looks quite good, though they are relatively new in the last couple of years. Just putting it out to hear your veiws.

I'm a bit weary of all the this talk about wearable tech being the next big thing.

Its all very cool stuff but I can't see the point of the Smart watch. From what I understand, you still have to have your phone with you and hooked up by bluetooth, would that be right? If thats the case, why not just use your phone? Just my thoughts but it wouldn't change my life for the better enough to justify giving it a try. Plus I strain my eyes enough reading my phone as it is without trying to read my watch.

Theres definitely something in it all but just not at the moment.

I get the idea (it's extension/control of your phone) but I feel it's a bit of a gimmick.

I'd be more interested in eye wear personally but Google Glass looks a bit stupid.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I want one of those 'phones that are embedded in one's palm like in the Total Recall remake.

Until I can have one of those, I'm not playing!

Not going to happen. What happens if you run out of juice?

Proper hover bikers are being made commercially in a few years but they are quite expensive ($85k).

If I were uber geeky I'd get myself Google glasses so I'd have a live update feed from my running app

I had the galaxy gear the camera was handy at times but could be awkward due to its positioning. The only relatively useful part was being able to talk whilst driving but the speaker wasn't loud enough so it lasted a couple of weeks till I sold it. I'd rate it 4/10 I don't think the wearable smart stuff will ever really be practical.

I'd wait a couple more generations of hardware before seriously looking.

Google glass is looking clunky now and a bit limited in what it can do -it's not even it yet.

The watches sound OK but again, not sure I have the need/want.

In a more iterations the tech will be smaller, slicker and cheaper.
