Removing OP

hi, just wondering can an Original poster remove his/her initial starter thread at anytime, even if it is weeks/months into the thread..

I posted 3days ago to a thread that i found interesting and although i noticed my post to the thread had been successful the thread now seems to have been deleted.

It is not in my list of threads i have posted to.

If the subject got out of hand? Nasty comments say being posted? Between a couple of people having a slanging match in your thread... then I expect then one of the moderators will have removed it... and you'll then find no trace of it?!

Yes i think they can and the mods can too, as i notice from yesterday i think, where someone was removed from the forums or the site, so the blog in the forum was gone

No, you can't take off your own thread , but if you can ask a mod to take it off for you if you have a reason for it to be taken off.

If a thread disappears though it is normally taken off by a mod.

Swingy, your posts don't disappear if you leave the site, just the name of the person who posted them x

Start it off again yourself with the same subject if it has now gone, it maybe wasn't the original post that got it deleted but maybe some of the posts that were added to it.

Only one way to find out..... Post it again!
