Post this in the Worlwide forum, you will get plenty of tips there. Not been to La Mirage but we go to Playa del Ingles twice a year as it is a great place to have fun! Enjoy!!

i would suggest taking a book or two. there are a few in reception to borrow, but mostly german or swedish. i wouldnt bother with a swim suit, just a wrap. the shop and cashpoint is within walking distance so anything you need can be bought. definitely travel light.
