Who thinks winks are a waste of time?

I usually only get them off ppl who are miles away or those who I have no interest in meeting

If a fem or a couple wink at me I check out their profile and if I like it I will wink back but if I don't I will message saying thanks but no thanks

If a guy winks I usually ignore it but then I get a message asking why I ignored it so then I have to block them

Don't mind getting them, filters keep the people we don't want contact with from winking.

If they're local enough to us and we're interested, they're returned. If it's someone miles away, they'll get a thanks message and just left at that.

we tend to use a wink as a sign of appreciation.... if we think we can/want to meet a couple we will message but a wink is usually a "found this profile sexy" x

I use them sometimes and occasionally I get a wink from someone I fancy who is near enough to be a potential meet.

They're not the most useful feature for me but I wouldn't call them a waste of time.

We'll wink, if the other person(s) like what they see, a wink back would warrant a message from us and vice versa is what we made of it.

Then you get the strange people with blank hidden profiles... BLOCKED

if we receive a wink and we like the look of them we will return a wink, if we wink someone first and they return a wink then we usually send a message

That's fair enough but just means that that's something else they can be used for other than being interested in meeting.. All a bit confusing lol

I'm ok with winks, and can appreciate for the users who find that most of their messages sent without any prior contact get ignored or achieve a block, it does make some sense. It's obviously less effort to send a wink than it is to write a personalised messaged to someone, though it doesn't mean someone is being lazy. If a wink is sent, it shows initial interest or appreciation of some type. The recipient may or may not respond back, and the sender is blocked from sending further winks for a few weeks. If the recipient does wink or write back, then the initiator can write, introducing themselves and their interests more fully, probably with a higher chance of receiving a reply.

Overall, it's worth remembering that not all users find achieving success on fab equally easily. I'd prefer a wink to a 'fancy a fuck' message anyday. If I wink back and get 'fancy a fuck', then it'll go the way of the rest.

It's a very feminine forum today.

Note to self: no winking or too much pussy licking is boring.

I might learn stuff today.

Chocolate anyone?

I have been known to send a wink now and again and think they are pretty harmless and are hopefully taken in a lighthearted way and just an indication i find the person attractive, regardless of distance or preference.

I reply to every wink in hope that a conversation might develop.

Sadly, when I reply to say thank you for the wink, I usually just get a message back saying 'no worries'.

what a wasted opportunity lol

Stafford

Got a wink a few weeks back from a lovely woman which lead to horny email exchange. That kicked me up the arse to go to a few clubs. Now had a few more winks which are fun to get and the lighter tone gives the fab site something different. Besides the cut & paste function on my phone is disabled.

I usually send winks as a means of showing interest in someone, with the view of taking things further

However, sometimes I may send to those who may be miles away and unlikely to meet, just as a mark of appreciation for their profile

I use winks to show potential interest and if i get a wink i send a polite thank you message. I have started many a good conversation from this so I do think it can be a useful tool

Some of us don't mind winks as an initial demonstration of interest.

If I'm interested I'll either wink back or message.

If I wink back and get no message in return I assume the wink was something other than an interest in meeting and drop it.

This is exactly how I use them too.
