For those on whatsapp its crashed big time the problem is europe wide maybe world wide. There is a website that monitors such things but i do no not think can post websites on here inless folk know different.

As explained above that because its gone down..

Messages that i have sent have a lil clock thing inn the bottom right corner which means they are innfact awaiting to be sent/delivered

It is free for a year and then you pay. Always been that way.

Yes it is or was free then they brought in the charge of 69p and that was before Facebook took over

Funnily enough the Americans experimented with using pigeons as guidance for missiles during WWII.
